Congratulations to Pam Pearson! Wells Fargo has honored Pam Pearson with a 2017 Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her many years of service with WECS as a mentor, scholar selection panelist, school coordinator and board member, including her recent term as President of the WECS board. This honor is given to select Wells Fargo employees each year in recognition of outstanding volunteer contributions, and Pam's nomination was supported by many WE members who work at Wells Fargo. The company will donate $1,000 to WECS in honor of Pam to support WECS's strategic plan to increase the number and dollar amount of WINGS scholarships. Congratulations, Pam!  And thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our scholars!

Past President of WE and WECS, Sherry Barretta, will join the board of the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro beginning September. Sherry, an alum of UNCG, will serve a 3-year term.

WE member Jada Grandy-Mock will be an honoree at the 2017 Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Luncheon at noon on Saturday, September 23 at The Westin Charlotte. This signature fundraiser for the United Negro College Fund is held in in honor of Dr. Maya Angelou to recognize women for their community leadership.
