2020 Business Woman of the Year scholarship recipient
WINGS Scholar, Queens University, major: Finance
Expected graduation:  May 2021

Mentor:  Laura Lawrence
"It has been my pleasure to serve as the WINGS mentor for Zuleyma.  She has an incredible commitment to make an impact both professionally and personally. During the past year she has obtained a more senior role in a new company while maintaining the highest level of academic excellence.

Her joyful nature, passion for success and commitment to excellence is inspiring."

In a year of extreme stress and disruption to our normal routines, one of our WINGS scholars has managed to balance an internship, full-time job, and her classes and excel academically and professionally.  Zuleyma Arreola Ambriz achieved academic excellence in the Spring 2020 semester by making the Dean's List with a 3.8 GPA and receiving a prestigious scholarship and award recognition.
Sarah Williams, Director, Undergraduate Enrollment & Student Services at the McColl School of Business, indicated that Zuleyma was selected as the post-traditional undergraduate recipient in 2020 based on her academic performance, campus engagement, and community involvement.  This scholarship coincides with the same Business Woman of the Year event and award established in 1986 by Wells Fargo and Queens University.

"She is an impressive young woman, and we are proud of all that she has accomplished while at Queens. We are excited to see where she goes next on her journey after she graduates in May!"

WE members and WINGS enthusiasts can't agree more!  As Leah Maybry, WE member and Queens Coordinator for WINGS, said so perfectly, "I knew Zuleyma would be a star!"

Congratulations to Zuleyma!
